Penn Appétit presents the Penn Food Summit 2015: The Science of Food. We will hear from a panel of speakers, including Marcia Pelchat of the Monell Chemical Senses Center, Edward Bottone of the Culinary Arts Program at Drexel University, Pete Angevine of Little Baby's Ice Cream, Alan Segel of Wishbone, and Madame Saito, Queen of Sushi. Michael Turnick, the author of The Science of Cheese, will also present about the art of cheesemaking. The event will feature a demonstration from Marigold Kitchen, a miracle berry tasting experience, and a raffle with prizes including gift baskets and a $50 giftcard to William Street Common. All attendees will receive lunch sponsored by Jake's Sandwich Board, Spread Bagelry, and Magic Carpet as well as a gift bag valued at more than $50.
